Education gives You competence and assurance to plan and implement cleaning services in different customer sites. You can attend either one unit and have assurance to your work in daily cleaning assignments, or You can complete the whole vocational qualification. There is continuous admission to this education. Qualification in English is for You who work in site facilities services in Finland and use mainly English at work sites in everyday communication. You have versatile work experience of site facilities services. It is also required that your employer has agreed to tie an apprenticeship training contract.
In student selection, priority is given to applicants who have not completed a vocational qualification or university degree, unemployed job seekers and upper secondary school graduates.
To complete the qualification, you must have the opportunity to make versatile assignments during your internship or at your workplace.
The qualification (150 Competence points) is composed of one compulsory unit.
- Provision of customer-oriented cleaning and property services, 15 cp
One optional unit in the competence area.
- Maintenance cleaning services, 45 cp
and optional units of which you choose a total of 90 competence points.
- Basic cleaning services, 30 cp
- Cleaning services for food industry establishments, 30 cp

Study plan is individual, estimated duration of studies may vary from six months to one year. Your former competence or education may influence the duration of studies.
At the beginning we make you an individual study plan and ensure that this qualification is right for you.
Most of the education is conducted at your workplace in daily assignments. In addition, education is supported by simultaneously both online and classroom studying, which gives you the freedom to choose most suitable way to attend lessons. Studies include assignments and instructional videos, and you take them at a self-directed pace.
Education also supports the development of Your Finnish language skills.
Competence demonstrations are conducted at your workplace during daily assignments. The demonstration is assessed based on how well you carry out given tasks. Trainer and workplace representative make the assessments together.
If your competence is found sufficient enough, You can complete the qualification by conducting only competence demonstrations.
Tuition Fees for Citizens from Outside the EU and EEA
According to the Act on Vocational Education and Training, tuition fees as of 1 August 2026 apply to students from outside the EU and EEA who begin vocational education and training.
Students who have first arrived in Finland on a student residence permit are required to pay a tuition fee in vocational education and training.
The tuition fee also applies to adults who come to Finland on the basis of family ties if their sponsor’s residence permit, or first residence permit, has been issued on the basis of studies.
The student must pay the tuition fee until they are issued a permanent residence permit in Finland.
The tuition fee for this qualification is 9,000€ per academic year.
The duration of studies is determined based on the student’s personal competence development plan, which should be considered when estimating the total cost of studies. For apprenticeship training, you need an employer in the field with whom an apprenticeship contract can be concluded. Unconditional requirement for starting education is employment in Finland in cleaning services and minimum 25 h/week.

For apprenticeship agreement, Further Vocational Qualification in Cleaning and Property Services the student fee for completing the entire qualification is 50 euros (VAT 0%).
The student fee is to be paid at the beginning of your studies in one installment. The student fee is not refunded if the education is interrupted.
Employers have the opportunity to reimburse the student fee to the student tax-free (according to the guidance of the Tax Administration: "an employer can reimburse, tax-free, the invoice for training costs incurred by the employee in the employer's interest against receipts").
It is also possible to complete partial qualifications from this qualification. The student fee for a partial qualification is 0 euros (VAT 0%).
