According to the Act on Vocational Education and Training, tuition fees as of 1 August 2026 apply to students from outside the EU and EEA who begin vocational education and training.
Students who have first arrived in Finland on a student residence permit are required to pay a tuition fee in vocational education and training.
The tuition fee also applies to adults who come to Finland on the basis of family ties if their sponsor’s residence permit, or first residence permit, has been issued on the basis of studies. If you have entered Finland on other official grounds, the fee for completing the entire degree is €50.
The student must pay the tuition fee until they are issued a permanent residence permit in Finland.
The tuition fee for this qualification is 9,000€ per academic year.
The duration of studies is determined based on the student’s personal competence development plan, which should be considered when estimating the total cost of studies. For more information on tuition fees for students from outside the EU and EEA, please see the Taitotalo website and the website of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
